Melinda is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). Her psychotherapy practice is holistic, client-centered and strength-based, which means, she helps people build on their existing strengths and enhance their resilience to stress and to challenging life experiences. Her approach is informed by Mindfulness-Based Interventions, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and has a specialized focus in rehabilitation. Specifically, Melinda supports those recovering from acute and chronic injury and those living with chronic illness. She has advanced training chronic pain and chronic stress management and is a trained Mindfulness Facilitator through the NeuroNova Centre for Mindful Solutions in Toronto, Ontario. Melinda holds a Master of Public Health and Health Promotion from the University of Alberta and a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto.
