This Press Release from AVROBIO explains they have discontinued their Fabry disease program. Although this is not the positive outcome we wanted to hear, hope remains in the other ongoing gene therapy studies for Fabry Disease.
The AVROBIO study protocol was changed in several ways from that in the FACTS study in Canada, whether these changes could account for the observed poorer outcomes in the AVROBIO study is unknown. Any patients in the FACTS study that have questions should speak with their local FACTS study investigator.
